Cookie policy
This site sets a small number of analytics cookies — and none at all if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. There are no advertising cookies anywhere.
We keep this page specific rather than generic, so you can check it against what your browser actually shows.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4 sets these, and only where analytics storage is permitted:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits aren't counted as new people. | 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Keeps session state for the same purpose. | 2 years |
Neither contains your name, email or anything you typed. They contain a randomly generated identifier.
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
We run Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics_storage set to denied by default for those regions, and that instruction
runs before Google's tag is even requested. The practical result: the
cookies above are not set, nothing is stored on your
device, and Google receives only aggregate, cookieless signals it uses to
model traffic levels.
That is also why you are not being shown a cookie banner. We didn't skip it — there is nothing to consent to, because nothing is being stored. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are denied in every region regardless.
Cookies set by other people
When you click a link to a manufacturer or retailer, you leave this site. That company will apply its own cookie policy, and typically sets its own cookies — often including ones that remember where you arrived from. We currently have no affiliate relationships, so no referral cookie is being set on our behalf. We have no control over, and no access to, cookies set on other companies' sites.
Embedded YouTube videos, where present, are loaded only after you click play. Up to that point the page contains a static thumbnail and YouTube sets nothing.
Advertising
There is no advertising on this site and no advertising cookies. If we ever introduce ads, this page and our privacy policy will be updated before any advertising script loads, and visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent through a certified consent management platform first.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking them will not break anything here — the site is static and doesn't rely on cookies to work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics everywhere using Google's opt-out browser add-on .
